Ceri Jones- Chair
Ceri Jones is the Chairman of the University Football Club.  The club embraces 25 teams with a total of some 470 players across both the men’s and women’s game.  Ceri is a passionate supporter of building inclusive and community driven football clubs that provide opportunities for engagement with volunteers, stakeholders and participants. Ceri has a significant background in football with an experience range from grassroots football through to the highest level of Welsh league (and everything in between!) in almost every position from coach, manager, Secretary and Chairman.  As a keen advocate of a value driven approach to sport, Ceri’s interest is in supporting the University football club to become a vehicle to support the development of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Ceri, a Director at the University, has a long association with the institution, having joined Swansea University in 2001.
Nigel Hill - Commercial

On retiring from playing he embarked on a career in refereeing and rapidly gained promotion to referee in the Welsh League although he now officiates at a local level in the Carmarthenshire and Neath leagues and also finds time to organise the referee appointments for the Universities and Swansea City Academy. The role of the Commercial Manager is focused on ensuring all aspects of the off field activities on a match day work effectively  from organising the volunteers, welcoming the opposition and match officials and hosting any sponsors that attend on the day. Aside from match days the role has a responsibility to generate Commercial Sponsorship for the football club. As an experienced professional and now retired from a senior commercial banking role, Nigel is well known in the local business community and this connectivity is being utilised effectively to secure much needed sponsorship for the club as it continues to grow.

Steve Joel - Head of Sport
Head of Sport at Swansea University Steve Joel has been part of elite level sport with GB Sailing. A key member of the strategic planning of the football club. Based at Sketty Lane, Steve is currently driving the reorganisation of sport and exercise within the University.
Dafydd Evans - Head of Football
Dafydd Evans - Head of Football
Director of Football Dafydd Evans works with the different people and roles on the board to advise on the development of the club, football aspects, personnel and direction of the club in all facets. He also advises members in modernising the club in roles, titles and direction.
David Redfern – Coach
David Redfern – Coach

David joined Swansea University in the 2018/19 season and works as GK Coach for the Welsh League & University sides. David has been working as an outfield & Goalkeeper coach since 2008. He has worked for Cardiff City’s advanced development centre for goalkeeping, Aberdare FC & Cardiff Corinthians in the Welsh leagues and a string of local clubs in the Swansea area.

Since 2014 he has been the Head of Goalkeeping for Pontardawe Academy, he currently manages the West Wales Girls Performance Centre U14s and has worked with a number of players who have gone on to play for professional Academies and age group national teams.

David holds a BSc in Coaching & Sport Science, MSc in Strength & Conditioning, FA Level 2 in Coaching and the FAW B licence in Goalkeeper Coaching. Since completing his B licence in 2017, David has also begun working for the FAW as a GK Coaching Educator.

Ben Sutcliffe – Intramural League
Ben Sutcliffe – Intramural League

Ben is a volunteer who gives a significant amount of time to the running of the Intramural League. Recognised, as the driving force behind the overhaul of the League Ben has been responsible for the significant changes in structure and more significantly the delivery during the 2018/19 season. Currently studying Sport Science and based on the Bay Campus Ben hopes to follow a career path in Sports Analysis and Exercise Science.

Elected by her peers, Lizze has been responsible for driving the women’s section forward this season. Lizzie brings to the Board a significant insight into the challenges faced by students to participate and compete in football across the student body.
Harry Churchill - Club Captain
Harry Churchill - Club Captain

Elected by his peers to oversee the running of the University Club during 2018-19, Harry brings a significant amount of enthusiasm and drive to the Board. Responsible for the restructuring of the club this season, Harry has committed more time than most in his drive to move the Club forward both on and off the pitch.
Currently studying Sport Science based on the Bay Campus, Harry hopes to pursue a career in Sports Coaching and Sports Development.
